Hello everyone,

I have a quick question, I’m a new immigrant to USA and I carry Bachelor degree in Pharmacy from overseas country.

obtaining the US Pharmacy license takes long time, is there an alternative job that I can work in using my degree or in a similar position?

I applied at Walgreens nearby as a Pharmacy Tech. but no answer from them :( I have 5 years experience in my home country as a pharmacist.

I have unrestricted work permit in USA.

You cannot use your degree to work as a pharmacist, unless you go through the process to be licensed. If you graduated before January 2003, you’ll need a 4 year degree, and if you graduated after, you’ll need a 5 year degree. It can take several years for an international grad to get licensed.
Most pharmacies are cutting tech hours a lot. Pharm techs do not get paid much. Their average salary is $13 per hour.
