How can you tell if someone has control of your computer? My myspace traffic map shows my location in Africa.?

I am suspecious that someone in Nigeria has my computer wired as a bot to send spam or traffic blackmail or something. I think this because my myspace global traffic marker shows my location is in Nigeria. It has only done this while I’m home. Everywhere else it shows correctly. I have firewall and spyware removal. The only thing don’t have is password on wifi. How can I tell? Does this make any sense at all. Why does it show Africa? I know its not the thing, cause it works everywhere else.
