Debt Help Options, Where to turn to when you have debt in Scotland

Looking for Debt Help Options in Scotland? You are not alone.

Scotland like most other countries across the world has suffered due to the recession and rising cost of living. With public sector cuts, high street retailers closing and job losses across the country, there are justifiable reasons for Scottish consumers to be more prudent with their finances in 2011.

For those in Scotland to be unlucky enough to have excessive personal debts and to be struggling to be repaying the debts, it may seem that there is little help available.

Trust Deed Scotland is an independent Scottish based introducer of a debt help option otherwise referred to as a Scottish Trust Deeds and you may have seen Trust Deed Scotland on STV or heard about Trust Deeds on Real Radio Scotland.

There are other options too, such as the debt arrangement scheme, sequestration and the somewhat out-dated debt management plans but to an untrained person, it may not be clear which debt help option is the most suitable to them and the only people willing to offer advice on each debt help option is a person trying to sell it to you on the other end of a telephone.

Trust Deed Scotland think differently.

Already in 2011, Trust Deed Scotland have helped thousands of Scots make decisions on how they manage their personal debts and have advised those people on the best debt help options based on the person’s circumstances.  This advice may have been to look at a Protected Trust Deed, a Debt Arrangement Scheme or in some cases LILA Sequestration and Certified Sequestration.

The genuine truth about Protected Trust Deeds and other forms of debt help options is that you will never know whether you will qualify for a Trust Deed or any other form of debt remedy until you discuss your details with a money adviser. A money adviser will look at all aspects of your expenditure, income, debt level and residential status.

Any decent money adviser will do this for you free of charge, free of obligation and free of hassle. Trust Deed Scotland as an example, only refer you to Trust Deed companies who do not charge setup fees and who will arrange for a home visit (or other convenient location.)

It is also worthwhile researching each Debt Help option in Scotland through independent debt advice forums and asking for help from debt charities such as Citizen Advice Scotland (CAS) or CCCS but always remember when doing so that your case is unique and what has worked for one person, may not necessarily work for another and so try not to exclude one debt help option if you read an unfavourable review online.
