Online colleges and Online degrees ………….?

I am sitting at my desk watching MSNBC and they are talking about online college or online courses and how it is truly growing. 11% of college students are online students and distance learning is growing at a high rate. Employers are not looking at it as a bad thing anymore.

I have read some negative posting on yahoo answers about online schools and how it is worthless. I never agreed with people who would down it because I now so many people who have graduate from online schools and have a career in the field of their studies. I think distance learning is going to be the future for a lot of people.. What do you think?


My education:

BS 08 online
BEng(Civil) ’11 online
JD ’12 online

and I will be continuing with a Masters in civil engineering in the future through distance education. Without this option, I would not be able to earn these degrees because the need to work to support myself makes distance education the only option for me. I cannot afford to spend time travelling to and from university and work and study at the same time.

Online degrees are not only the way of the future, for thousands of students right now, they are the only the way towards earning their degrees.

I love it :)

P.S: my employer must love it too since they are paying for my engineering degree.
