i am 16 and need a job! please help?

hey i am 16 a junior in high school and before i can get my license my parents say i must get a job. so any ideas? who hires at 16? when should i apply? what should i wear? how do i apply (online or in-person)? i live in charlotte nc so if you happen to know of any job opening please tell me.
whenever i call a place they say “we are taking applications but not hiring” but i need a job asap


You must go in person.
An employer will want to know you have transportation to the location.
You have no idea how many people apply for jobs – and they have no way of getting there.

If your mom will drive you she needs to go in with you.
When you turn in the application and say thanks to the manager, your mom will need to step in and say she will be 100% responsible for driving you there and back.
That is the only way.
