How do I address a cover letter if I don’t know who it goes to?
I’m applying for a job at my college… They’re looking for an office assistant. I have a cover letter prepared, I just don’t know what to include in the address block. The college has 3 campuses. I have to submit the application, resume and cover letter online, so I’m guessing it goes straight to human resources at the main campus, but the job post says the job is at one of the other campuses.
“Clark College is seeking to fill a temporary part-time Office Assistant 1 position to work at the Clark College Columbia Tech Center Student Services desk to perform a variety of routine office support functions.”
How would you address the letter?
I would address the cover letter like this: To Whom It May Concern:
Make sure that you state the purpose of the letter on the first paragraph.
