Work At Home Kentucky

Is it legal to be sent home from my job before I work 4 hours?
So I’m a 17 year old high school junior in Kentucky, who works at McDonalds. Today I was scheduled to work from 4pm to midnight and my manager sent me home 34 minutes into my shift, because “labor was bad”. My sister told me that this was illegal, that if you are scheduled to work, they can’t just send you home if you are less than 4 hours into your shift. I did some research on the Kentucky Labor Board, but I couldn’t find answers. I’m so mad right now. I would really appreciate if anyone could answer this so the next time a manager tells me to go home, hopefully I can tell them that they cant.
If you are part of a union (and pay union dues) at your job than you either have to work 4 hours or they have to pay you for 4 hours. If you’re non-union they can send you home whenever they want to whether your worked 4 hours or not. Sorry!! Welcome to the working world!
